About Us
The STEM Fairies is an initiative founded by Knyll and Kiran to help combat inequality in the STEM field. Our focus is on empowering and encouraging women, ethnic minorities and underprivileged students to achieve their dreams in a manner that is easily accessible to them.
Our Mission
We at The STEM Fairies aim to provide helpful educational resources for free to all students. We want to support and encourage women, non-binary and ethnic minorities to be involved and follow a path in STEM. We desire to break misconceptions that STEM is a masculine field and women (and other minorities) are not as qualified to pursue a career in STEM. As students, we understand that the cycle of inequality in wealth will continue when students from poorer backgrounds are not able to get the best resources and tutoring and will have less chances in being qualified for top universities. We aim to contribute in changing this cycle and aiding all students to reach the best of their abilities. Join us in changing the system and diversifying the industry, one post at a time.
What we do
We curate notes on STEM subjects and present them in the form of easy-to-digest Instagram posts or lengthier, more detailed printable notes. Additionally, we create infographics to teach students more about the field and topics that are not well-known. We also plan to host workshops and webinars in the future.
